Veronica’s Home of Mercy is committed to provide a home for adult pregnant women and their children as an alternative to substance abuse, abortion, domestic violence and/or homelessness. With 40 beds available, it affords the mothers and children a family living atmosphere to nurture, support and foster each woman into the fullness of her creation, skills and talents, and to restore the dignity that is proper to her as woman. It provides a family living atmosphere that promotes growth and wholeness in each individual woman and child. Veronica’s Home of Mercy is a life changing experience that brings hope, love and care to the women and children, who have been hurt, rejected or mistreated in life. These goals are achieved by supporting the physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs, as well as the growth of each woman and child.

Veronica’s Home of Mercy pursues excellence and success in promoting the wellness of each woman and child. So it is necessary to assure each woman a future of hope. Consequently, Veronica’s Home of Mercy requests only 20% of their income (if applicable). This permits each woman the training in budgeting and saving with the remaining 80%, (20% for personal needs and 60% to be placed in a Resident Savings Account), so that she has finances to plan for the future. Yet, no applicant is refused admission because of financial hardship, race or creed.

Veronica’s Home of Mercy collaborates with nine other institutions, professional individuals and agencies of expertise to provide the following comprehensive and meaningful program:

Mental Health
Prenatal Classes
Drug & Alcohol Rehab
Dental Hygiene
Domestic Violence Education & Counseling
Extensive Parenting Classes
GED Preparation
Rape Crisis and Family Counseling
Tutoring
Cooking and Cleaning
Self-Reliance and Coping Skills
Budgeting
Child Development Education
Bible Sharing
Nutrition Education

Qualified staff provide drug and alcohol counseling, twelve-step meetings, child care, transportation and 24-hour supervision.

Veronica’s Home of Mercy is distinguished from other facilities providing similar programs in the following ways:

  • Low cost with an income — no cost without income
  • Up to 3 years of transitional living
  • Small interest-free loans
  • Employment within the organization
  • A family atmosphere that promotes love, compassion, acceptance and the sharing of oneself, and blessings, with each other.

Ground breaking for Veronica’s Home of Mercy II took place on September 12th, 2007. This new facility will provide 70 additional beds primarily for Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

“See I make all things new” 2 Corinthians 5:17. This quote very well describes the emergence of the new Veronica’s Home of Mercy II. What once was only a dream is now becoming a reality. Thank you for making the Vision come true.
